Joulu oli viime vuonna ja tulee kai tänäkin vuonna, olut on majaillut jääkaapissa viime joulusta, juodaan pois jotta on tilaa uudelle joululle. Hyvä olut jälleen.

Kivan tukevat paahteet, oiva runko ja samettinen suutuntuma. Perhanan toimiva imperial stout.

And now the weekend's last drink. A nightcap. Looks bright, jet black. A bit reserved carbonation builds a light chocolatey head that grows two fingers tall. The foamy hat gets gradually pressed down to a still neat velvety lace ring on the top. Multiple tiny traces remain on the glass. Roasted coffee beans, raw cacao powder and roasted malt find my nose first. Burned wood looms in the shadows just to give the nose a marginally hostile hint. The palate turns more seductive: dark chocolate, cacao nibs, vanilla, roasted malt, a wisp of sweet licorice and distant lactose. No signs of fire. Alcohol is fully hidden but can be felt in the throat. Appealing. The body is full. Good stuff! The end plays a more roasted role. The sweeter flavors take a step backwards. If you've seen Santa Claus, you know you become Santa if you put on Santa's coat; you can kill him, leave him dead up in the snow, the elves don't even care about you murdering their bro, and the aftertaste. The mouthfeel is full, smooth, roasty, lip-glueing and simultaneously drying. Nicely warming, modestly though. Enjoyable!

Solid Imperial Stout with excellent X-mas themed label arts 🎭 roasted Santa 😆 Well balanced roasted malts with espresso and dark chocolate. Sweet at first then bitterness rises gently as you go on. Lingers nicely 🍻
