The prolific northern monk doing a collab with the mighty Deya, yes please. Faith is okay and steady rolling man is great so I hope it leans further toward Deya influence.
It's a dark honey amber colour and partly hazy, or partly transparent. Did have a lovely pour and now ages later it still has some head. It's got a heady aroma of deep stone fruit, tropical fruit and pine with some sweetness.
I don't know the hops used but smell like Citra, Simcoe and Mosaic.
In the mouth it's smooth like syrup and fairly thick like single cream. Sweetness is quite high, which I like, peach and apricot with satsuma and a strong pine finish. Unfortunately the taste of alcohol is quite strong, which you do find in USA NEIPAs but perhaps this brew is more explicit. It's warming in fact, from the alcohol. 7% isn't nothing but you can easily find beers that are smoother and in which the alcohol is completely hidden.
That said it'd not bad, like a double punk IPA or something grim! 😅
It's quite basic in a way; a big IPA with pine. It's not like steady rolling man which is a light effervescent pale ale. Can't remember faith really to be fair but I'd say it's probably closer to northern monks brew. Toned down alot and it could be steady pale I guess.
It's got alot of tang to it, especially as it warms up. Satsuma and golden grapefruit are quite strong, battling the obvious pine. Feels nice to drink and you get used to the alcohol taste, instead focusing on the hops.
Not my favourite IPA ever.

Reilu humalointi tuoksuu, maussa voisi samaa myös hieman enemmän. Parasta paikanpäällä!

Humalien ja hedelmien täyttämä tuoksu. Maku hieman pistävä ehkä alkoholin vuoksi?
Parasta paikan päällä nautittuna

Light and refreshing, not too much aftertaste
