A decent punchy porter with a fruity aroma and a nice malty flavour. I’m getting an almost molasses note in there too. There’s a hint of cocoa or chocolate on the finish. The porter appears black in the glass but has a deep red hue when exposed to light. Steel Rigg is a nicely balanced porter, and while I am a fan of this, there are certainly some others that I prefer to this one.
