A dark mahogany colour with a thick beige head, McEwan’s Scotch Ale has sweet aromas of caramel, toffee, malt bread and dried fruit. This warming beer has a very mild coffee flavour with notes of raisins and brown sugar in the finish. A smooth, intensely satisfying and full-bodied beer.

Getting ready as football opens up tonight. So figured I’d start with a new one. Has a sweet malty taste that leans mostly towards cherry, light plum with a hint of molasses. Cherry becomes more pronounced as you get further in. Just a tad boozy. Overall I’ve had better for the style but worthy of trying. Plus it is a little different.
