2.1.2024. Todella sekava, pohja (runko ja makeus) on ok, mutta hedelmäisyys loppuu kesken.

Ruokamessuilta maistiainen. Raikas ja hedelmäinen! Voisin ostaa toistekin.

This Fruited Sour Ale bears a relatively misty, deep orange veil. A crimson reflection escapes from the orange cocktail. The carbonation is wellnigh arrogant. The newborn head is bright white and fluffy as never before when it rockets ridiculous five fingers high. The retention is not particularly short but not eternal either when the foamy tower collapses to a thin lace ring on the top. I expect a big punch from the scent. Not least because of the fairly rare flavoring, pitaya aka pitahaya aka dragonfruit. The first olfactory variable is, notwithstanding, passionfruit. Orange pith and canned mandarin slices find their way to my nose, too. Then, with a bit of concentration, I start receiving cucumber. Yes, cucumber! Interesting!! The first sip leaves my tastebuds with the flavors of passionfruit and cucumber. Lemon zest, pith and canned mandarin bring in citrusy vibes to the crew. Wheat determinedly supports the baseline. Not exceptionally interesting, I must say. Secondly, I don't find the typical notes of pitaya, such as kiwi, pear, watermelon or strawberry. Okay, citrus and cucumber can also play their role in the pitaya flavor profile but still... I wanted the kiwi–pear–melon–strawberry mess. The body is thin. The ABV clocks 4 %, so thin doesn't surprise me hugely but disappoints me a bit anyway. The finish drops other flavors on the road except the passionfruit and wheat malt. Vile smile, 'mental yolks; nymphs, sylphs and pygmy's choke; drink the blood, tasting Tchort; what hath the aftertaste wrought? Dragon, dragon, dragon, dragon!! The mouthfeel is thin, medium-tart, first frothy but then, somewhat later, flat. This is also a tad stuffy and closed, overall rather lackluster. Fails to impress me this time.

Eipä oikein omaan makuun nämä sour oluet ole, joten ei oikein iske. Lasiin kaataessa kouhuaa paljon
