An India Red Ale bursting with notes of mango, papaya and pineapple, this beer finishes juicy with a subtle malty backbone. It doesn't take brains to know hoppy, tropical IRAs are a great way to welcome warmer months ahead!

Tumman Meripihkanvärinen, utuinen olut sormen vahvuisella vaahdolla. Tuoksussa on mallasta, hedelmää ja karamellia. Olut on keskitäyteläinen, hapokas, makea, pehmeä ja raikas. Mausta löytyy mallasta, hedelmää, karamellia ja katkeroa. Hyvin tehty, tasapainoinen olut. (4+8+4+7+14=37) 3,7

OLUT: Dawn of the Red PANIMO: Ninkasi Brewing Co. OLUTTYYPPI: India Red Ale MAA: Yhdysvallat VAHVUUS: 7,0% VÄRI (EBC): Kuparinpunainen (-) KATKEROT (EBU/IBU): 75.0 TUOKSU: Mielenkiintoinen. Maltaisen hedelmäinen. VAAHTO: Periaatteessa olematon. Tällaisia on kiva nautiskella terassilla. MUUTA MAINITTAVAA: Oregonista tulevan Ninkasi brewn olutta pitkästä aikaa. Laadukas perusolut tämä on, vaikka arviointi tuntuikin vaikealta.

As I shamble through the isles of the local beer store staring hazy eyed into the distance like the animated corpse of the freshly deceased, I spotted this in the distance. Immediately I perked up like a zombie smelling fresh meat and lurched on over to take a look. It's been a while since I've had anything from Ninkasi and I hoped I wouldn't be left feeling dirty and empty like looted stores in a post apocalyptic world. I don't think I'd call it red, but more brownish copper. A bit like a rusting blood stain. Aromatically much more appealing than the rotting flesh of the walking deceased. The nose, or what's left of it, will find a sweet caramel and doughy biscuit malt hiding in vain from a horde of tropical fruits including passion fruit, mango, lychee, and a faint hint of citrus. It has more body than the average undead but much smoother and probably equally as soft. As I tear into its well built head and start stuffing into my mouth I'm greeted by sweet and juicy tropical hops. It has medium bitterness and is a little resinous but mostly fruity. The malt profile gives it a good spine to grab hold of while the hops have their way. Caramel and possibly sourdough with bit of cracker. Momentarily satiated, I shuffle off into the night looking for another victim. Not quite Romero level good but better than the remake.
