Aleksi's Beer. RIP. The label was inspired by some footage of Aleksi, we had a picture of him wrestling with a similar mask. He was a fan of wrestling (among other things) and funny like that. The beer is called "NOPPA", meaning dice in Finnish, which is a nod to our recent plans of hosting board game nights with Aleksi at the taproom. It was also a bit of a roll of dice how it all ended for him, so I guess it fits. We went with an Imperial Stout as a beer style. Continuing with the theme of rolling dice, we barrel aged it and will spice each barrel with different spice mixes - therefore the randomness! Each batch will be tiny and special, only on tap. 1st Batch was a "cinnamon bun" mix, with cinnamon and cardamom. 2nd Batch was launched at Brewskival 2023 and soon after at the first ever HIISI.BEER/FEST. Both events something we think Aleksi would have enjoyed. This time we went for a rosewater, cacao & vanilla combo. In addition, we like to think that the HIISI-tribesmen on the label are like friends celebrating life, with the smaller dice playing the part of confetti in a bit of celebratory way.
