Highway to Hell
0.5% Premium Lager
Inspired by the best helles lager on the planet. Bright golden colour with a frothy white head and cereal grain on the nose. Fresh and balanced with light malt, grassy, floral hops, and a touch of dry bitterness on the finish.
Houblon : Magnum, Willamette

The previous beer I opened confidently indoors. With no problem. This beer is a Lager of the ONP5 box. Definitely needs to be opened outdoors. Safely. No inspiration to clean a mess now. Just in case. Contrary to my fear, the beer behaves obediently. No foamy volcano. Just a standard dense off-white head that falls short of one finger. The foamy lid melts gradually to a thinner lacing on the lucid gold beer and remains like that for quite some time. The scent? Something typical, something appealing. My nose finds white bread, biscuit and cereal on the malty side, as well as tangerine, orange peel and apricot on the fruity sphere. Nothing sensational but reasonable anyway The gustatory segment deteriorates several steps from what the fragrance promises. The tongue receives pale malt with a distinct metallic vibe, lemon peel and pith, dry grass and a whisper of pine needles. The body is thin. The finish is bitter tangy with the same elements as earlier. Hey satan, payin' my dues, playin' in a rockin' band; hey mumma, look at the aftertaste, I'm on the way to the promised land; I'm on the highway to hell. The mouthfeel is thin, metallic, pithy, tangy, crisp, dry and drying. Unfortunately not a masterpiece.
