A flight to Brussels matches perfectly with a flight in Brussels. Not sure, though, how this lands as the bartender recommends me to start with a Tripel and end with a "Saison IPA"... Well, that's what I'll do, for better or for worse. 🤷🏼‍♂️
Flight 1/4. The color is semiclear deep gold. An off-white dense moussy head grows one finger tall and wafts thinner long on the top. Paints the glass with thick lacings.
The scent is fruity. Citrusy. I get lemon zest and a suggestion of pineapple. A tad sour even in the air. Strange!
The tongue gets pretty fruity flavors, as well. Lemon zest, lemon pith, grapefruit and bitter yeast, with a faint malty sidekick. Alcohol is totally absent. Overall, relatively sour.
The body is light. The end is sour citrusy. The mouthfeel is light, slightly tart, pithy, surprisingly refreshing and drying. Offers loads of esters.

A priori - d'après le code barre - le nouveau nom de la Grosse Bertha.
Une triple blanche assez standard.

Très belle découverte …elle a son style, son étiquette ….fruitée avec une belle amertume …Et oui j’apprécie fortement 🤩
