About 6000 bottles available and exclusively sold by the Kiosk on the island of Utö (in Finland) where the family of the recipe developer (Thomas Sjöberg) has lived since 1740s. Utö öl 2023 is a märzen lager which the original style was born in 1842 in Munich (created by the Spaten Brewery) and famous for being the Oktoberfest celebration's beer prior to 1990. Has a fairly rich malt character which includes notes of toasted bread, bread crusts, nuts and light caramel. Despite the rich aromas and flavors, the beer is still fairly dry to allow for high drinkability, meaning many can be enjoyed before saturation. Brewed with Pilsner, Munich Light, Munich Dark, Vienna and Caramel 50 (°L) and and bittered by a single addition of Galena.
