Als Dessert gibt's heute das Mexicake von Tempest, ein Imperial Stout inspiriert von Mexican Hot Coffee. Nicht mein erstes Stout dieser Art, gefällt mir immer sehr diese Kombination, zum Original bin ich leider noch nicht gekommen. Ölig und pechschwarz ergießt es sich ins Glas und bildet sogar noch etwas dunklen Schaum. Die Nase ist hauptsächlich röstmalzig, etwas Säure, Zartbitterschokolade. Im Rachen baut sich eine angenehme wärmende Schärfe auf die sich mit der Zeit auch auf die Zunge legt. Etwas Milch Karamell gegen Abgang. Süffig und wärmend mit sattem Mundgefühl, die Säure stört etwas den Trinkfluss.

Zwaar bier veel chocolade

Robe très sombre, presque noire, opaque. Nez curieux, épicé, notes d'olives. La première gorgée est un coup de poing. C'est fort, âpre, notes de cacao, de café. Le piment est incroyablement bien ajouté et l'équilibre de la bière est bluffant. C'est alcoolisé et ça se sent. C'est peut-être là le seul "point faible" de cette bière. Une bière qui a un côté Bucket List.

It’s taking me an age to finish this, I just can’t get past the heat from the spice! It’s pretty thick and unctuous, lots of chocolate, but then the heat hits you and it’s quite intense. I’ve not had many chocolate-chilli stouts because I’m not keen on spicy warmth in my beer, but this is up there as the spiciest. The base beer is lovely, mind…

Un véritable gâteau à 10°. Miam quel régale moi qui aime bien les Stout. Par contre je ne met pas 5 étoiles car je trouve qu'on sent un peu trop l'alcool. Mais bon voilà !
