Finally made it to Houston, on the way to Whiskey River Ranch and this years SOTS reunion. Have a beer in hand within 5 minutes.
Sharing a tall boy porter with coconuts. Short head with very small bubbles. Dark brown but not totally opaque. Aroma of sweet roasted malt. Soft and smooth texture, very nice. Flavor is strong roast. Only a wisp of coconut in the middle. Finishes even more dark roast. Around the 5th ship, the coconut began to appear, but still a minor part of the flavor. The roast is the dominant flavor from first to last.
I like the beer. The roasted flavor is nice but I miss the coconut. It's there but only to a small degree.

This has toasted and raw coconut taste, light roasted malt with very light chocolate. It is not really bitter or sweet. Thin like a porter should be.
Overall an excellent coconut tasting Porter. They got the coconut right on this one.
