The name 'tripel' is an old measure for the heavyness of a beer and the triple amount of ingredients used. In the old days, breweries gave the beer with the most amount of alcohol the name tripel to seperate it from the other beers. It has a nice blonde colour, a malty to sweet flavor, with a soft bitterness and a palet of fruity flavors. The secondary fermentation on the bottles gives a fresher and richer flavor.
