Our second homebrewed Sahti. I know pretty much what to expect... And it's not flattering. This Sahti differs from the previous one in that it also contains caramel malt.
The same misty brown color as before. A few beige bubbles pop up on the top and then die away. Flat still.
Citrusy scent again. I don't get here the floury twist at all. Instead, I spot a faint hint of wild yeast. Maybe this is a new unheard-of style of Lambic Sahti? 😂
I have to taste this first before I give a five. And oh yes! Or oh no. The same citrus, most likely a lemony flavor dominates. No flour here either but nor wild yeast. At least not to my tastebuds. The malty base is detectable but fairly weak though. An indisputable off-flavor we have.
The body is light again. Even that sucks. The finish is identical to the actual taste. No need to analyze in any greater detail.
The mouthfeel is light, tart, modestly tangy. Same sh*t, different label. Both batches (2 x 13 liters) deserve to nourish the backyard and be forgotten.
