Clown Shoes makes great IPAs for non IPA lovers. Let's see if they can make a sour for a non sour lover. A beer from Ryan of course for us to Duo. Really high and frothy head, very thick. Tart sour aroma. Has a very light consistent haze. Tart flavor is quickly apparent with an obvious blood orange. It slowly transforms into a more dominant raspberry puree. More tart than sour but as it travels into the finish, all the flavor disappears. Finish consists of only an acidic bitterness with only a tiny trace of raspberry, distant in the background. I would have given this a higher rating but it's total lack of flavor in the finish left me disappointed and empty. Forcing me to have another sip to regain the flavor seemed unnecessary. I felt like the beer simply gave up and quit on me. Opportunity lost.
