An uneventful pour, a little listless even. Body is advertised amber body, touching on brown, with soft white foam that receded to just trace amounts on the top and the rim.
Aromas of caramel that sifts into burnt butter. Sweet biscuit maintains the sweetness while shaking up the accompanying note again before salty pretzel rolls in to counter the sweetness.
The beer is medium bodied, with only faint carbonation and moderate foaminess that maintains itself well from the beginning to end.
Taste is buttery and sweet, like toffee. A nice pepper note pings and takes the sweetness down a notch. Cracker appears in lieu of the pretzel, maintaining a light salty note for the remainder. The aftertaste is a little peculiar with the pepper bouncing back and a soft corn note emerging to play it out together.
Very nice dark lager but a little something is missing.
