Straight off the bat I can smell the peaty boozy glass of heaven before I have even tried it.! 👀: it is BLACK like motor oil black with zero head to it. Opaque! 👃: It's peaty, smokey wood notes similar to rauchbier, earthy. Honestly this smells absolutely incredible. 👄: Wow, honestly wasn't expecting so much flavour from the cedar wood... It's amazing and the it ascends to this boozy mouth warming boozy peak with the smokiness becoming less dominant toward the end into a peaty finish... EDIT; The more you drink and your palate has got a little desensitized to the initial boldness of the flavours, there's a lovely chocolate flavour there too! Honestly just wow. This is literally a perfect beer. Probably more suited for a winter night by a nice open fire than in spring This would pair nicely with Christmas pudding
