Nice smell. Roasted coffee notes. A bit of chocolate as well. .9 Hoppy notes. .8 Then beautiful coffee and chocolate hints. .9 We have a nice bitterness and beautiful coffee roasted aromas in the aftertaste. The aftertaste is bitter, coffee like and is exactly what I expect from a stout! 1 That's a great stout, it checks everything I want from a stout, especially the aftertaste! .9

Love this beer. The licorice gives it a lot of complexity in the aftertaste. A must try for any fan of dark beers.

My new favorite 😁

2016 vintage. Bottled 18/05/16. Almost five years old. Licorice stout, it seems to be. Pours into glass with dark color and nicely balanced one finger light brown foam mat. Scent has licorice, fruitiness, roasted malts. Mostly licorice. Foam has goddamn creamy texture! Taste of mostly licorice with fruity, apothecary licorice, syrupy bready vibes and quite light, abrupt finish. Then just dryness. Body is light, mineralic and smooth. Gets dryer near finish. Well, it's Bell's and vintage. Kinda similar to Laitila's Licorice Porter. It's okay.

Starts with very little head, what's there doesn't last. Color is very dark brown but not totally opaque, no sediments. Aroma is of dark fruit and malty. Dark roasted malt, heavy dark fruit, mostly prune, with no sugar. Feels flat and most of the flavor is in the finish which is where I get a slight licorice quality.

Todella vahva kahvi, ja hivenen pistävää kitkeryyttä. Ehkä voisi olla hieman paksumpi suutuntuma. Ihan ok perustason stout, jossa yllättävän paljon makua näinkin miedoksi. Helppo juotava joka menisi ns seurustelujuomana, ei niinkään makustelu.

The great chocolate stout flavor is there but also the licorice so gave it 3 stars. Pretty good desert beer.
