Named after the city where it all began, Kalamazoo Stout is one of our most classic recipes. This smooth, full-bodied stout offers a blend of aromas and flavors of dark chocolate and freshly roasted coffee, balanced with a significant hop presence.

Nice smell. Roasted coffee notes. A bit of chocolate as well. .9
Hoppy notes. .8
Then beautiful coffee and chocolate hints. .9
We have a nice bitterness and beautiful coffee roasted aromas in the aftertaste. The aftertaste is bitter, coffee like and is exactly what I expect from a stout! 1
That's a great stout, it checks everything I want from a stout, especially the aftertaste! .9

Love this beer. The licorice gives it a lot of complexity in the aftertaste. A must try for any fan of dark beers.

Starts with very little head, what's there doesn't last. Color is very dark brown but not totally opaque, no sediments. Aroma is of dark fruit and malty. Dark roasted malt, heavy dark fruit, mostly prune, with no sugar. Feels flat and most of the flavor is in the finish which is where I get a slight licorice quality.
