Olut on väriltään musta ja vaahtoa kertyi sormellisen verran. Tuoksu on paahtomaltaisuutta, nokea, lakritsaa sekä suklaata. Maku on tumman suklainen, mukana myös paahteisuutta sekä lakritsaa. Kelpo Imperial Stout!

One more for tonight. Fills the glass as muddy black. The adequate carbonation builds a big-bubbled fawn head up to two fingers' level. The short retention kills the head to total peace. Dark chocolate, cacao nibs and gently roasted dark malt emanate to my nostrils. A silent sigh of licorice can also be imagined among the olfactory composition. While the scent is relatively soft and subtle, the taste profile is more arrogant with bitter licorice, roasted dark malt and a bitter coffeeish slam. Cacao is raw if anything. Probably absent, as a matter of fact. The hoppy side is evident, as well, quite piney it is. I'd rather follow the road paved by the fragrance but the higher degree of unpredictability is also a welcome parameter. The body is light-medium to medium. Somewhat substandard for 9.5 %. The finish is bitter hoppy, a tad burned and slightly piney. Licorice, crushed coffee beans and dark malt dominate the end. OK, I'mma try the aftertaste out, I'mma try it out, OK. The mouthfeel is light-medium, roasty, a bit piney, somewhat dry and drying. No particular layers but the olfactory and gustatory sides give quite different perspectives anyway. All fine.
