My Advent calendar has fewer unopened doors than opened ones. Christmas is approaching. Now it's time for door #17. Turbid, deep yellow beer with effervescent, sustained carbonation frees a snow-white, massive soapy head that elevates up to four fingers, leaves no traces on the glass and descends gradually to a thin lacing on top. The scent is extraordinarily farmhousey with a penetrative aroma of horse stable, strong wheat malt, stuffy yeast and a generous amount of both lemon and orange peel. While the olfactory package is musty and earthy, the palate is attractively fruity, juicy and distantly tart. A cocktail of bitter orange peel, watery grapefruit pulp and lemon peel constitutes the key elements of the taste. Hefty, light-bitter yeast seasons the citrusy package to a good extent. Wheat malt and a tad wheat flour follow behind. A gentle touch of coriander lingers nearly indiscernibly on the tongue. The light-bodied beer ends with mild-bitter yeasty wheat malt, a subtle dollop of grapefruit zest and a good amount of grated lemon peel. Coriander is unfortunately absent in the finish that otherwise disappears quickly from the mouth. The mouthfeel is substantially light, relatively juicy, rather tropical and light-tart. It's also refreshing and summery. On the other hand, the mouthfeel is also a bit musty but only at the first sip, right thereafter it refreshes the mouth.

Comprendre grains de coriandre et non coriandre fraîche. Rien à voir. Déçue. Svp faites un truc avec la coriandre fraîche. Pas de goût de bière.
