Voimakas appelsiinin tuoksu. Olut kaatuu lasiin voimakkaan valkoisen vaahdon saattelemana, oluen väri on haalean (ananaksisen) keltainen. Maku on appelsiininen, sitruksinen, hiukan suolainen ja kuiva, keskimakea, savuinen, jotenkin viskimäinen(?) ja raikas. Paahdettu appelsiini tuo jotenkin sellaisen grilliruoka-mielleyhtymän tästä, todella miellyttävä. Jälkimaku on lisää appelsiinia ja ananasta, puun savuaromeihin sekoitettuna. Kiva, erilainen Gose!

Just back from London and off to Manchester tomorrow, so a short period of respite at home before what I hope will be a glorious Bank Holiday. This beer is a beautiful, almost black ruby red - thanks to the foundre that previously held Californian red wine. It's flavour is well balanced with the cherry and chestnut smoked malt jostling for position with liquorice and Somerset sloes. Lots of dark fruits to swill around the palate like liquid Christmas pud. Probably not the light summer beer I should be drinking but it's very welcome tonight.
