Paddle
4.5% Pale Ale - New England
Paddle was a stand out in our recent artist collaboration series with the incredibly talented Brighton artist Lois O'Hara. We bring it back, Summer ain't over yet. Mosaic, Simcoe, El Dorado and Amarillo Dry Hop flow together to create a juicy, hazy and beautifully bright pale ale that's made to be enjoyed with friends all year round.

Very pale indeed and only a minimal head after a few minutes. Surprising deep on the nose, it's a heady mix of primarily stone fruit and tropical. This is quite big for the ABV but the flavour doesn't match the aroma in intensity. It's soft in the mouth with medium body and a long finish with a tang. It's peachy with a subtle savoury edge that diverges into apricot for the tangy finish. The softness and pleasing body are satisfying compared to the no alcohol radler I had before this, but really this is a normal and average pale. Juicy and hoppy, you'd have to be a fan of peach for this one and Mosaic is bringing a bubblegum air to it. Simcoe is probably responsible for the hefty nature of this brew but Amarillo and El Dorado aren't giving much additional complexity. It's relatively big and bold for a pale but other than peach and gum I'm not picking out a load of distinct flavours.
