Le marketing donne envie (14 juin 2025)

Very ominous aura from this French can, but when I poured it into the glass, I got a much more tempered response than others seem to have had. Golden yellow body, semi transparent with moderate carbonation in the body and only one finger of white foamy head. Scent profile is largely wheat, as to be expected but with some sweet malts to counter. There is salty cracker and sweet bread in spades with a strange, indistinguishable citrus note lingering in the back The feeling in the mouth is crisp, a little sharp even, very well placed with the medium body. The mouth floods with lively carbonation which quickly tingles before settling into a soft foaminess which itself dissipates quickly. Taste is mostly a nice mix of the malt profiles, with a soft lager note to round it all. However, the strange citrus note makes a comeback in the taste and this time carries a light metallic/industrial note in its trail. The two don't overpower however and a reasonable, industrial beer remains. Not too bad.

Paris-Woche 6/10: Direkt am Tuileries Park auf der Rue de Rivoli gibt es ein einfaches Lager gegen den Durst. Du Luxe ist daran aber gar nichts. Zäh getreidig und trocken. Mehr gibt es hier leider nicht.
