For this special Xmas blend, a selection is made by our brewmaster between barrel-aged Quadrupel on the one hand and young Quadrupel on the other. This beer is brewed from time to time and is not fixed in our assortment. The tannin from the barrels forms a harmonious whole with the rich notes of the special malts in the Quadrupel beer. The combination of the taste of the wood aging and the young Quadrupel beer creates a unique and powerful blend. Thanks to the refermentation in the bottle, the taste evolves year after year. Our Xmas blend has an intense dark brown color. Depending on the origin of the barrel, this maturation will also bring about different aromas. New wood of American and French origin is used, as well as recycled barrels of Whisky, Rum, Bordeaux, Calvados, etc.
