En juurikaan erottanut rosollin, juurikkaita vihanneksia tästä oluesta. Maukas sour kuitenkin

Olut on väriltään marjaisan punainen ja vaahtoa kertyi pari sormellista kun oluen kaatoi lasiin.
Tuoksu on hedelmäinen eikä anna osviittaa rosollista.
Maku on kurkkuinen, porkkanainen, punajuurinen.
Kyllähän tästä rosolli tulee mieleen mutta jää kyllä kerta ostokseksi.
Tällä kertaa mielumin rosolli rosollina kuin oluena!

Found this Christmas leftover from the fridge, had to get rid of it. Sours are not my cuppa, but having a beer taste Rosolli is something that one must try. Lets see next xmas if we have some rosolli infused pale ales or something wild like that..

Täällä tykkäsi pariskunta joista toinen yleisesti pitää soureista ja toinen ei. Kivan tasapainoinen eikä mikään maustekurkku onneksi potki liikaa, tehtävä suoritettu 👍🏻

This Christmas, we missed rosolli in our Christmas table. Don't take me wrong, I like rosolli, it's just that we are living in the middle of the renovation chaos with limited facilities available and wanted to concentrate on the key dishes instead of stretching our energies to everything possible. So, Ladies and Gentlemen and All Other Genders, here we go: liquid rosolli!
This delicacy contains beetroot, apple, carrot and pickled cucumber in addition to the standard malt, hops and yeast. Many rosolli salads also contain potato and onion, those ingredients are absent from this beer. Anyway, close enough to complete my Christmas!
The beer colors misty crimson. Carbonation behaves decently despite the pervert ingredients. Retention is short-lived as the head dissolves to a thin lace ring circling the surface.
So far, so good. 👍🏻
Pickled cucumber, vinegar and salt are the first elements to find their way to my nose. Good. I'm imagining then a bit of cooked potato that officially is not there. Carrot waits for a while to be found but when I find it, it's actually obvious. Apple is totally absent and beetroot is difficult to identify on the basis of the fragrance.
First sip... Ok, this is sour. Not superdupersour but still. Pickled cucumber and vinegar can be spotted on the tongue. Apple and lemon bring in fruity sourness in addition to lactic acid. Cooked beetroot is also there, very distant though. Carrot is this time the one who hides behind the corner.
The body is light. The finish is medium-sour fruity, especially citrusy, but not at all vegetal. Relatively easy. The aftertaste can't find any lyrics with the word "rosolli" and just says that it's hasty.
The mouthfeel is light, a bit tart, acidic and messy. There's no one clear direction here, rather a bit of this and a bit of that but nothing really punches my tastebuds. But hey, that's what rosolli basically is.
I like the fact that several rosolli ingredients can, in effect, be detected in the palate. That's a big plus. Overall, the experience is a tad shy. That's a small minus. The biggest plus, anyway, is the crazy idea of making a rosolli beer in the first place. Such a mind is either ingenious or disturbed. Therefore, a high +0.8 extra stars to the normal rating.
