This Signature 1798 Double Extra Stout is a tribute to the original Old Vat House built in 1798. The brew is deep, rich, complex and extremely rare. It uses 100% malt, some crystal malt for the distinct caramel and chocolate smoothness on the palate, plus the world famous Guinness home roasted barley for the classic taste. This luxuriant brew is then finished over the original English oak wood of Old Vat House 1 from 1798, to bring out a unique subtle wood character steeped in history.

Double extra Stout. Pravý irský Stout od Guinesse v limitované edici. Pivo je výrazné černé barvy s chutí hořké čokolády. Hořkost je zde úplně jinak vnímána než u ležáku, neboť se jedná o svrchně kvašené pivo ALE. Na tak silné pivo 9% je chuť plně vyvážená a lahodná. Žádný prvek není dominantní. Vůně je lehce zakouřená, ale v chuti tento prvek silně nevystupuje. Hodnocení: 4 / 5
