Very good flavours and a pleasant fruity aftertaste. Slightly hazy appearance and offering a generous 7.2%.

Not sure about this, juicy mango, rich with hops which is great but unfortunately is ruined by a strong banana taste, which for me is making this a little sickly and a little unpleasant, I don’t think I’ve ever had a beer from Salt that I’ve really enjoyed.

Starts with Stonefruits with citrus hints. Keep drinking and there’s resin, pine and orange flavours too. It’s supposedly an East/West hybrid IPA but like others that try before it, they never really do get the West bit, just add some bottom line bitterness and that’ll do. Maybe it’s just not possible. If you want dry and bitter you stick with your West’s… it’s juicy and the bitterness is noticeable, but that’s it.

Bright and deep amber colour with low head retention and no visible carbonation through the opaque haze.
7.2% ABV Strata and Idaho 7 brew, something a bit different from a supermarket, this is said to be a west meets east coast hybrid style. Surely at that ABV it's a double IPA, apparently not, must be on the line.
Peach, plum, apricot and pine on the nose after a swirl of the glass. Not too complex and doesn't jump out at you either.
Alcohol is noticeable from the start with the hops fighting to cover it. Thin and smooth in the mouth with low body and a long finish. Other than the taste and heat from the high ABV you can taste the aforementioned stone fruits, they are soft and subdued as I'd expect from this collab. Salt are pretty good and Wild Beer I'm not keen on so this duo in a shelf sitting exercise limits the potential. With mass yield brews the hops used have to be stretched. That said this isn't watery and overly lackluster, there is enough in there for this brew to work.
I'd say the west coast wins this round in terms of pine presence but the east coast haze is strong! It's not a clear and clean IPA. So hybrid it is.
I'd like more fruity flavour, Strata is often a producer of dank weed like qualities, not here, and Idaho 7 struggles to dish out enough juice, it's firmly in pine resin territory. But it's good, I like it. When compared to other supermarket beers this is a good one.
