Pale gold and clear complexion, makes a change from the hazy numbers I love. Bright citrus and herbal aromas on the nose of lemongrass, lime, grapefruit, wet cut grass, elderflower and the hint of tropical fruit. Light, smooth and thin mouthfeel with light body and medium to long finish. It's dry, tangy and persistent. It's like a classic English pale/ IPA but a strong flavoured one, not a wishy-washy Adair by those standards, though it is a bit lacking compared with a big craft IPA. I supposed this should be considered a west coast, but the pine suggestion isn't strong instead it's resinous weed. I say resinous but this brew doesn't coat the tongue in the way others do. This is my first single hop Strata brew and it's alot less dank weed than I was expecting. Perhaps it needs other hops to blend with, or a intense double dry hop. Still, it's clean, tangy, fruity and a bit different.
