Saturday is a Mead day, right? 🐝🍯 This Mead colors translucent, superdeep dark burned rosé orange. Looks awesome! No carbonation, of course, and no head. The scent is intensive: honey is not even as dominant as I anticipate. Sweet cranberry jam, red apple, sugared waffle and a suggestion of pear escort the honey-forward fragrance. This is intensive indeed. Did I say intensive? Yes, intensive! Sweet honey liqueur constitutes the main skeleton of the taste identity. Hefty jam-like nuances accompany the honey punch: cranberry and blackcurrant, a bit of sweet mushy apple and interestingly also a silent sigh of aniseed. Alcohol is superwarming but doesn't disturb the enjoyment at all. Lovely!! 🧡🧡🧡 The finish is a direct continuum from upfront and lingers neatly for some time in the mouth. The mouthfeel is sappy, sticky, warming, intensive and deep. Somewhat unpredictable. Very desserty! 4 cl is a perfect portion.
