I'm not keen on ice cream pales, packed full of lactose and dodgy flavours.. This one however is not too bad for me. The mango and passionfruit taste genuine and not artificial as is the case with Unbarred use of real fruit, and the vanilla with the lactose really make this very close to actual ice cream flavours. Soft and nicely sparkling with smooth texture, light body and short to medium finish. Mango and vanilla go on in the finish and it's quite nice, although I will never get over lactose and vanilla in a pale. This is maybe the nicest ice cream lactose pale ale I've had, which unfortunately isn't saying much.
