Enjoying this powerful wee heavy with my son-in-law while getting ready for House of the Dragon. Going to be an interesting evening. Came out of the can in an extremely dark but still clear ruby red. Plenty of head to start but it eased down quickly. Really fantastic, powerful aroma giving dark fruit, molasses and plenty of alcohol. Aroma foretold the flavor. Alcohol fills the naval cavity first then the sweet molasses combined with concentrated raisin overwhelms the taste buds. Medium body, not thick or syrupy, not even heavy. The level of flavor would seem to contradict this. By the third sip, your mouth acclimates and a deep roasted coffee begins to appear. Brings a small level of bitterness with it. The heavy malt that created all of this adds some very subtle notes of chocolate in the background of the finish. The whole experience warms the throat and the belly. First sip and I knew this was an outstanding beer. No doubt whatsoever. I haven't had a lot of wee heavies but this is by far the best I've ever had. It even competes with some of my favorite stouts ever. Based on that, I'm going to max this rating out with a 5.0. Well done No Label.
