Iha kelpo. Pukkisuus ehdottomasti tulee esille

This is THE MOST AWAITED BEER this time! Kyrö whisky barrel aged eisbock can't go wrong. Oh mama! Yeah! Opaque, medium-black beer with long-lasting pale fawn head. Looks brown in the pic but it's actually black. The fragrance reveals that the barrel must be rye whisky also in this case. It's quite sweet, chocolatey, syrupy, even a bit fruity but not smoky. Not at all. Baked roll is obvious but date is remote. Vanilla can be spotted, it softens the package nicely. Rye whisky barrel overwhelms my tastebuds. Oh Lord, have mercy! Dark chocolate, cacao nibs and a pinch of prune try their best to join the show. It's hard! Vanilla can still be found but, generally speaking, the rye whisky overshadows the other components seriously. Hmmm... The body is full. The finish is whisky-dominant. Almost nothing else. The mouthfeel is full, mellow, intense, barrel aged and medicinal. Absolutely barrel aged. Did I say barrel aged? Also alcoholic, can't deny it. The mouthfeel is, furthermore, quite soft, smooth, deep, reasonably rich but complexity is the weak link. This could be a real beauty but after a couple of years in cellar. #summerbeer22
