Pikimustaa, ihanasti lämmittävää. Kuiva, rommin aromit kivasti läsnä. Tyylikäs tapaus.

Tiukan paahteinen ja kuiva imperial stout, johon rommitynnyröinti tuo lakritsia, vaniljaa ja hiukan mausteisuutta. Hyvä mutta hiukan särmikäs tapaus.

Now the 4️⃣th and final specimen of the Kråkö Bryggeri Imperial Stout four-pack. Opaque black, as expected. Lazy carbonation builds a velvety, cappuccino-colored lacing that falls seriously short of one finger. Yet, the ring displays itself rather dense and neat on the top. Rum is unmistakable in the fragrance, revealed by cane sugar and barrel notes. A wisp of star anise can also be noted. Attractive but quite straightforward. The tongue likes the lofty rum and loads of intensive oaky barrel nuances. A tad edgy though. Licorice and star anise are powerful. Roasted malt, sharp rye, a whisper of raw chocolate and a moderate alcoholic touch close the books. Generally speaking, the package portrays edges and fails unfortunately to deliver any complexity. The body clocks medium-full. Broadly speaking within the range of the other three Imperial Stouts but if one goes into details, this one is left on the weaker side of the quartet. The finish flattens considerably from upfront as the rum barrel offers oaky whips and an alcoholic hint. Top the aftertaste all off with the sun, and mix it with rum, mmm, mmm. The mouthfeel is medium-full, alcoholic, a tad sharp, intense and distinctly barrel aged. It's also woody and slightly lip-glueing. What I liked here is that rum and barrel notes are powerful but the sensation feels unfinished, raw. I'd also prefer layers and complexity, which now remain just a wish. Should probably be cellared.
