Beautiful colour and appearance, it looks like mango juice..and that's because it is!
Take nice Alfonso mangos and juice it with a light Berliner and this is the out come.
Berliner Weisse is usually a sour beer, and this isn't. The only sense of sour you get is from the juice itself. The beer takes a backseat, only rearing it's head as a gentle sparkle. Reminds me of a bucks fizz.
It's very pleasant. Silky smooth and obviously juicy, sweet and acidic. Refreshing indeed. It would be great to have several of these ice cold to knock back of a summertime, which it is!
It's not complex, it's not big. Maybe if it's wasn't 50% juice you could get a feel for the wheat, malt and lack of sour. Could have been something else. It tastes more like 75% juice 25% beer.
But I love mango juice, mango lassi, mango chutney and just mangos so yeh, I like it.
