Happy Midsummer! Now it's Sahti time. Homebrewed. Ours. 👍🏻 The color is murky, dark brown. No carbonation, of course. A crippled, pale fawn ring of big bubbles emerges on the top, just to melt down hastily to zero. The scent offers rye dough, dark chocolate and a spoonful of cacao powder. Appealingly sweet. Banana is truly subdued in the fragrance, even more so than the clove that is restrained. Rye is interesting since this brew doesn't contain rye in any form. The tongue likes the medley of rye dough, surprisingly prominent juniper, raw chocolate and raw cacao powder. The juniper is probably much because of the juniper tankard since we haven't applied any more juniper than normally. Clove is truly remote but detectable. Very promising. Chocolate comes from the combination of chocolate malt and caramel malt. The body is medium-full. Not bad. The finish offers the same chocolatey and rye-rich package as before. Juniper is unavoidable. Thanks to my tankard. The aftertaste wishes all the Pint Please folks a hoppy Midsummer! The mouthfeel is a medium-full, strong, somewhat deep, lip-glueing and smooth. The candy-like segment is really modest. Successful!
