Our third anniversary beer enhances Chocolate Sombrero, using extra ancho chili and adding Chipotle pepper. We aged the brew 100% in Wild Turkey and Heaven Hill bourbon barrels. May it leap on to your pallet majestically, like a luchador who flies into the ring from atop the highest rope.

With my son-in-law on Houston having a crazy beer night before I have to go home tomorrow. This is a Clown Shoes that he has been saving for 6 months. We loved it as Mexican Sombrero. Hope the bourbon barrel adds an improved quality.
Seems thin on the pour. Aroma of chocolate and dark fruit. Taste adds a strong bitter alcohol burn. Leans towards bourbon. Sweet, a dark molasses, a brewed dark fruit such as dates and a rich dark raw chocolate cooked with a heavy malt. Flavors along with a boozy alcohol last on the tongue forever.
This is good but not as good as the original.
