Bought a variety pack of the Impending Doom series (series 2). So I figure why not have a review of all four of them today. This one starts with a sweet caramel malt. Becomes semi-sweet as it warms. It is citrusy that leans towards grapefruit mainly with some candied orange. Has hints of pine. Has a decent hoppy bite. Carbonation was a little low. Overall it is more on the malty side which is on the sweeter side. Hoppy side delivers. This is decent but nothing special. A little too sweet for the style. There are much better WCIPA’s out there. Onto the second of the series.
