Gulpable, light milk stout you can enjoy any time.
Stouts can be big, very big and oh so rich, which restricts your enjoyment to a cosy winter's night or as a definitive end to a drinking session.
Mini Bueno Shake, the baby brother of the full Bueno Shake defies that trend by it's easy going nature. 4.2% alcohol and not death by chocolate levels of decadence that one can experience in Unbarred's seasonal beast "Stoutzilla".
Milk and dark chocolate on the nose.
Black and ruby complexion, the head disappears as it's not a nitro.
Light mouthfeel with a noticeable carbonation. Light to medium body with flavours that are on the forefront as much as some bigger brews.
Sweet milk chocolate backed by hazelnut followed by a decent dark roast malt coffee-like finish that doesn't linger for too long.
It's flavourful right up to, but not straying into, the realms of rich.
It's not going to knock your socks off with heftyness nor leave you with an awe-inspiring impression. It's just nice and drinkable milk stout.
Obviously it's not as light as a black lager, it's still a stout end of the day, and one I enjoy.
