Nightcap. Muddy black beer with lively carbonation gives rise to a fluffy, chocolatey head that elevates up to astonishing three fingers. Long retention maintains a neat lace ring on the top for a considerable time. Chocolate, cacao nibs and lactose are hefty in the scent. Peanut performs nicely, both in the form of peanut butter and dry peanut. Sweet desserty stuff! The taste profile is a couple of decimals sweeter than what the fragrance suggests. Loads of dark chocolate and cacao nibs intrigue my tastebuds. Lactose is ample. Like chocolate ganache. Peanut butter is recognizable but surprisingly restrained. Sweet, not dry at all. As if vanilla lurked in the shadows. The body is medium-full. The finish gives the same elements as before but, additionally, a hint of licorice and faint warming alcohol. The aftertaste slinks down the alley, looking for a fight. The mouthfeel is relatively full, sappy, sticky and desserty. It's soft, smooth on and deep. Also moderately warming. Nice pack of adjuncts.
