Nice to find something local in Belfast.
It poured well and left a nice jet black body with trace amounts of mocha head.
The first notes are black coffee and black chocolate with a mild fruit hop profile, not a million miles away from a BIPA.
Mouthfeel is mostly smooth with a tiny amount of carbonation coarsing through, keeping things lively.
Taste is a good hit of black chocolate with a mild caramel sweetness at first. The caramel note leans into a sort of candied fruit profile before the coffee rolls around and takes charge. The coffee compliments all the other notes very well and brings them all together for a nice finish.
A great craft stout imo, I'll definitely have another.
