A complex stout embodying notes of pecan, molasses, vanilla and a touch of salt. Nuff Said!

My last Duo beer with my son-in-law in Texas. I'll restock with him in a couple of weeks. This is a milestone for him, his 1300th beer. Congratulations Ryan. Has a nice tan head but is gone in 30 seconds. Not much aroma. Poured thin, like a cola, looks like a cola. Texture is just that, light and thin. Light on flavor intensity. Lightly roasted malt with some roasted nutty characteristics. Not getting any of the molasses or vanilla their website says is used. Late in the finish it turns a little salty. Not impressed with this brew. Identifies as a stout which I think is wrong. Not even a porter. Perhaps a weak nutty brown ale. Along with the absence of the molasses and vanilla I feel like they made a marketing mistake. Not a terrible beer, just not as advertised.
