At Five Stones Brewery in New Braunfels Texas with family. Enjoying my fifth Stout of the six stouts offered. Dark brown color, opaque. Medium thick texture. Very sweet, soft notes of chocolate. An unusual cherry flavor. Not sure what a Bolton Cherry tastes like. Talked with one of the brewers and she says they used real cherries from California. Explained the process of cleaning and preparing them for the Stout. Appreciate her taking time to do that. Add that to a strong deep roasted malt and some brown sugar. Never really got the chocolate.
