Wyatt Burp
8.5% Imperial IPA / Double IPA
How the West was Spun... Clarification jokes?! Anyone?! Peep this new WEST COAST Double IPA brewed with our Norcal buds Moonraker Brewing. Wyatt Burp is a real person, too! He used to brew for us, and now he's behind all the lupulin magic up in Auburn. So excited to get his face on this can. He even wrote the recipe too! About the liquid: Based on mutual enthusiasm for “knock-out” hop additions, and a strong respect for a dry, hop-saturated and bitter profile balanced with MALT — we collectively give you, Wyatt Burp. Simcoe-heavy in the boil, followed by Mosaic lupulin cryo, Nelson Sauvin & Idaho 7 in a dual-stage hopping schedule, fortified by lots of biotransformation for that big kick of dank & citrusy hop oil.

BEER: Wyatt Burp BREWERY: Alvarado Street Brewery x Moonraker Brewing Co. BEER STYLE: DIPA COUNTRY: USA ABV.: 8.5% COLOUR (EBC): Copper Orange (20.0) BITTERS (EBU/IBU): - AROMA: Pure west coast debauchery! Yeah! HEAD: Tight and creamy. Fights to reach to finger in height. GREY’S VIEW Simcoe, Mosaic Cryo, Nelson Sauvin & Idaho 7 hopped West Coast DIPA. Damn the balance here hee-ai! I need to let it sink in properly. Okay, I get pine bark soaked in sticky pine resin, agile malts, caramels, grass in multiple way with orange marmalade and hints of grapefruit peels to go with distant rustic countryside vibe. It feels deep and versatile. Very balanced. The base is firm and agile, sturdy enough to carry everything. Carbonation is a bit creamy, but not overscaled. Aftertaste ends quite short. I miss few classic elements to this style, although I do enjoy the mainpart of this. Hop oils grow in very slowly and stealthy, ah what a delight! OTHER NOTES: Sturdy west coast piece with charmingly agile being. There’s lovely amount of stuff although it misses few of the classic ones. Really enjoyable. CANNED 1/12/2021 TASTED 9/2/2022
