Combining their shared passion for all things hoppy, the Northern Powerhouse are represented by a DDH IPA packed full of Citra, plus Strata, Idaho 7, and El Dorado for a sweet and zesty citrus, juicy tropical fruit, and dank bitterness. Leeds' Northern Monk, Glasgow's Overtone, and Neon Raptor team up to form the North's tag team against some of the south's finest breweries has to offer.

Pale and opaque with a fair amount of head retention after a hard pour. Not the hoppiness on the nose for a DDH but it is fruity with citrus namely orange and grapefruit. Not alot of depth. Maybe a hint of apricot.
This is a triple way collaboration between Overtone, Northern Monk and Neon Raptor, the latter being the most respectable in my view.
Apricot is alot bigger on the tongue and this brew is quite thick, the thickest supermarket brew I can think of right now, almost creamy. Unfortunately the alcohol content is well represented here, tasting strong which isnt ideal. Especially at a modest' 7% ABV.
Not bad at all though, satsuma or washed out orange juice, light golden grapefruit and a sweetish pine finish. Well carbonated in the mouth which is typical for a supermarket brew and the thick mouthfeel has resided now, unsure why, could just be me. Dank but not quite there, it suffers, like others before it, from a washed out nature. But then you couldn't brew 1000s of cans otherwise.
A good choice for your Tescos shop.

Lovely fruity aroma but a very bland taste. Find this to be a tad disappointing.

Very nice. Much more juicy, north just better than the south. Both nice though

And the winner is North. Similar to the South but more fruity. A cracking example of a DDH. Strong tropical fruit aroma and taste with a nice bittersweet aftertaste. Enjoyable drink and a great session ale
