For this iteration of Coffee Shop Vibes, we finally got to do something that we have been wanting to do for quite some time - explore the summer varietals available to us through Scott at Sump. We have historically brewed and blended Coffee Shop Vibes in the cooler months, leading to a consistent and similar lineup of coffees for us to cup. By reintroducing this beer this summer, we could cup a whole new plethora of coffees and also showcase this bean in two forms - straight up in Coffee Shop Vibes and also enhanced in Morning Vibes. We chose La Virgen Colombian after cupping almost everything that Scott had available at the time.

La Virgen Colombian kahvilla maustettu Imperial Coffee Stout.
Maussa löytyy runsaasti jauhettua kahvia, maltaita on kyllä käytetty siellä uuninperällä. Kermaa, suklaata, kivennäisyyttä. Runko on kevyehkön, tumman säyseän miellyttävä.

Ulkonäkö: musta ja tyylikäs. Hento ja nopea ruskea vaahto.
Tuoksu: pehmeän hedelmäistä ja kevyen paahteista kahvia, tummaa ja paahteista mallasta, suklaata ja hienoisesti karamellia.
Maku: täyteläinen, suklainen, kermainen, pehmeän paahteisen kahvinen, tumman hedelmäinen ja taustalla hieman poltettua sokeria sekä karamellia.
Muuta: ensi kosketus tähän panimoon ja sitä myötä myös Side Projectiin. On tämä erinomainen ja todella laadukkaasti tehty 👌🏼

Beer #9. Murky, deep black beer with subdued carbonation lays a hair-thin chocolatey head that flattens to zero fast.
Coffee portrays abundantly in the air. Raw coffee beans, lactose and milk chocolate accompany the key ingredient. Deep and straightforward.
Roasted coffee gets seasoned with lactose and dark chocolate. Hefty flavors indeed! Alcohol is entirely hidden. A syrupy sensation is evident but in terms of taste, syrup is absent.
The body is robust. Powerful. The finish is rich in espresso and displays a good amount of sugar, a bit roasted malt and a pinch of cacao nibs.
The mouthfeel is full, intense, deep and rich. It's also rather sticky and reasonably desserty. Balanced for sure, and relatively simple, yet the flavor package is abundant.

Olut on täysin mustaa, melkein täysin ilman vaahtoa.
Tuoksu on todella kahvinen, maltainen, rusinainen ja aavistuksen rukiisuutta.
Runko on täyteläinen, hiilihappoinen ja kahvisen kitkerä.
Maussa on runsaasti paahteista kahvia, mallasta, hieman rusinoita, vaniljaa, rukiisuutta ja häivähys hedelmäisyyttä.
Kunnon vahvaa aamukahvia. Simppeli, mutta tasapainoinen kokonaisuus.
