A couple of thirst quenchers from the local supermarket. No glass. Gulped straight from the bottle. Well... the other beer is in the can but whatever. Smells nice: grapefruit zest and peel, apricot, biscuit and cereal. It translates to a malt-forward pale ale. Sips identical. The citrus–malt interplay is well orchestrated. Orange peel, grapefruit zest and pith, apricot, even a whisper of mango on the fruity side. Small injections of cereal and waffle in the grainy segment. The mouthfeel is light, zesty, pithy, smooth. Even juicy. Not really crisp or dry. Different.
