The best 18 months old bourbon barrels of this year’s barrel “harvest” we joined in our purest blend. We combined barrels from Woodford Reserve and Jim Beam distilleries creating a very complex, intense but still smooth flavour, that stands as a manifest to our barrel aging capabilities, our blending preferences and our understanding of the limits in the use of bourbon barrels.
Illustrations for our barrels series are made by indie artists, so that the quality of the packaging reflects the quality of the beers. Label artist is Martin Hirth.

Ehkä jopa 5.0/5.0...Pitää jättää vähän siiman pätkää vielä😅...onhan tämä kyllä lähes täydellisen tasapainoinen liuos...Juur sopiva makeus, taittamassa hienostuneen savuisuuden säestämien tummien maltaiden ja kielen kantoihin pureutuvan katkeron liittoa, jota tukee upea bourbon -tynnyrin napakkuus...vidu että tykkään🥰🍻

Tuoksu on juuri sitä mitä Bourbon kypsytetyn pitää ollakin😋
Eikä maussakaan ole moittimista. Tukeva mallaspohja tuo suklaisuutta, humalointi lakritsaa ja tynnyri loput herkut. Prosentit pysyy kohtuullisen hyvin piilossa.
Suutuntuma paksuhko ja matala happoinen.
Jälkimaussa Bourbon on itselleni sopivasti esillä, joillekin se saattaa olla liikaa. Suklaa kuitenkin tasoittelee loppu huipennuksen.

AROMA: Boozy, oaky and dry.
HEAD: Modest, two finger tall. Bit bland.
GREY’S VIEW
Woodford Reserve & Jim Beam Bourbon Barrel Aged Imperial Stout.
The aroma isn’t that appealing. It has that diacetyl to it.
Let’s try it anyway. The maltbase is there, with burnt liqorice and wood. Straight forwarded booze lurks there too. I try to avoid it. Damn. Another sip. I. Just. Can’t. Too boozy and awkward to me at this point.
