2021 Christmas Advent Beer Day 16 Still playing catch up. Duty yesterday so could only drink one beer. Technically I shouldn’t have drank any but Now this beer is special. I’ve never had a lager (except from Baltic porters obvs!) that has so much flavour and aroma. If I was blindfolded I’d say this was going to be a Baltic Porter based on its aroma. Metallic, bittersweet berries and praline. Flavours of freshly baked malted granary bread, cinder toffee and finishes quite herbal and grassy, assuming there’s noble German hops in play here. This is a Christmas lager if ever they needed to be one, such a beauty!
