Just had the moon lit peanut butter. The appearance of this one is similar: it's dark with red reflects. We have a low carbonatation and small bubbles. The smell has roasted malt and coffee notes but it's not super powerful. .8 Nice coffee notes and roasted malt attack. .9 Then we have grilled bread notes. A great bitterness is also present throughout the degustation. The coffee aromas and roasted notes perspective continues. .9 At the end we have milky notes and even a few chocolate aromas. .9 Overall this beer keeps its promises since it's claiming to have milk chocolate and roasted coffee flavours. It checks these two assumptions and then delivers what we expect. Overall that's a great imperial stout, exactly what we expect from this style! That's a great beer! 1

Going to the dark side tonight. Giving this one a Clint review. The Good: This is very roasty but not an overwhelming roasted malt taste (if that makes sense). Also has some light dark fruit and bitter chocolate. Hint of licorice. The Bad: a tad watery. So, it’s not the thickest imperial stout. The Ugly: has virtually no carbonation. I even gave it a bit of a hard pour and didn’t get hardly any head. Not quite flat (close) but far from lacing up your glass. The pic is deceiving as above the bubbles is light reflecting on the little lacing I did get. Overall taste wise it’s a low 4 and that’s even tolerating the bad (which really isn’t that bad). Unfortunately the ugly drags it down to a 3.8. I know stouts are not usually highly carbonated but this was a bit extreme.
