Kicking back watching a little Stanley Cup and having a couple of cold ones, this one a Stone Hazy IPA. Using some interesting hops to create this citrus flavor. Modest head this time and it receded to nothing right after the photo. Orange yellow in color, heavy fog haze but no particulates are evident. Light in aroma, barely was able to get a small amount of orange peel. Light and clean mouthfeel. Experienced the hops quickly, mildly bitter, thank goodness. Flavor is definitely citrus but it's a Malay of flavors, can't seem to pull one out of the pack. The only one that I can find is lemon. The finish exposes slightly more bitterness but the true identity of the citrus flavors is totally masked. Stone made a nice drinkable, low bitter IPA. Seems to cater to the mass market which is fine. But has no real character or distinct flavors to enjoy. Not good, not bad, just plain IPA.
